I would like to be a tutor because I feel that I can help individuals in writing proficiency. Writing is one of the most important tools that a person can have and I believe that I can help others in improving their writing skills. While many people believe that history is all about knowing facts and dates, history has a lot to with being a competent writer. I have written numerous papers over the years for my history classes which had to be properly formatted in order to receive credit. I also took three English writing classes and received exemplary marks. I spent the previous summer interning at the Navy Museum in Washington D.C. where I researched information for upcoming exhibits.
